Born and raised in Honolulu, I became a licensed general contractor and started doing small renova- tions and repair jobs in June 1983.
My only daughter, Tanyce, also was born around the same time, so needless to say my days and nights were very busy, but also enjoyable.
Over the next several years, Wong Construction grew to where it could handle larger additions and even new homes.
Today, I employ a crew of four skilled craftsmen, in- cluding myself, and although I still consider us to be a small business, we are able to handle larger jobs. We have completed projects around the island of Oahu, and we can do everything from termite repairs to million-dollar homes.
We work with outstanding subcontractors, draw plans and can design the home of your dreams. We also have great contacts that can provide financing, if the need arises.

remodeled, and now we decided it’s time to remodel the front portion of the house. We were not satisfied with the previous contractor, so we decided to look for other con- tractors. We interviewed three different contractors. The third and last contractor that I called was Les Wong of Wong Construction. Les showed more interest and excite- ment than the other two contractors. He came with his own architect. We all sat down and we told them what we want- ed. We wanted an open floor plan and a beautiful kitchen because my wife loves to cook and I wanted a big carport big enough to fit four cars. Les and his foreman even took us on one of their job sites.
