WEST OAHU ROOFING INC.
As a homeowner, one of the last things you want to think about
is re-roofing your home. In recent years, West Oahu Roofing Inc. (WOR) has noticed most homeowners have asked similar ques- tions. This article will touch upon those frequently asked questions about your roof- ing project, and how WOR addresses them.
SHOULD I TEAR OFF MY EXISTING ROOF OR LAY A NEW ROOF OVER THE EXISTING ONE?
There are strengths and drawbacks of both roof installation types. You will achieve a similar look with a layover or tear-off. You will also receive the manufac- turer’s warranty if installed by a licensed roofing profes- sional, and the overall cost will be less because there is less roofing debris removal. However, you are also in- creasing extra weight on your roof, and it is difficult for unforeseen repairs to be made.
WOR would recommend tearing off the existing roof because the company is able to check for all neces- sary repairs, and you would
become eligible for an ex- tended warranty guaran- teeing workmanship for 25 years. WOR believes this is worth the added cost to perform a tear-off versus a roof layover.
WILL A LARGE ROLL- OFF BIN BLOCK MY DRIVEWAY UNTIL IT IS PICKED UP?
No, WOR does not utilize large roll-off bins for any residential roofing jobs. WOR has a fleet of dump trucks and dump trailers that will be used in the drive- way during working hours, and at the end of each workday, WOR removes the dump truck or dump trailer so you can utilize your drive- way during off hours.
IAMNOTGOINGTOBE HOME DURING THE RE- ROOFING. HOW WILL THE WORKERS USE THE RESTROOM?
WOR sympathizes with employees because the company understands that everyone needs to “go.” Re- gardless if the homeowner is home or not, WOR always provides its own portable toilet for its employees. This increases the morale
of the employees, and it also increases productivity of your job.
WHY IS THERE SUCH A BIG DIFFERENCE IN PRICING?
There are many reasons for roof prices differences, but the main reason is li- censed roofers versus un- licensed roofers.
Licensed roofers are re- quired to have liability in- surance and workers’ com- pensation insurance for all of their employees.
Having the proper insur- ances is expensive but it also protects the company, employees and homeown- ers.
WOR provides all employ- ees with the necessary safe- ty equipment and ensures all employees abide by all
necessary safety practices. If you are in the market for an affordable, quality roof, call West Oahu Roofing Inc. for a free estimate, and let the company provide you with all the roofing services
