6 HAWAII RENOVATION MAY 30, 2021 CLEAN SOLAR PANELS HAWAII
  Protect your solar investment
Pressure washers are great for cleaning the exterior of your home
but should never be used on solar panels. Yes, the high reach and pressure can make cleaning large sections of solar panels much easier, but doing so runs the risk of damaging or cracking solar panels and causing micro- cracking, which is when the underlying solar cells break. The cells can continue to generate electric current along the cracks, causing localized heat that breaks down the cell surface and EVA. If water vapor is also present, discolored snail trails are formed along the microcracks, and these re- duce energy production and compromise appearance.
It’s not recommended to use any high-pressure cleaning (pressure washer) or chemicals on solar pan- els, as these can damage the anti-reflective coating (ARC). The ARC on a solar cell helps to increase the amount of light absorbed

 LET’S TALK FLOORING
There are many methods for installing hard surface flooring--nailing, gluing, and floating. The method will depend on what you are installing and your type of subfloor. Solid wood has to be nailed or glued while engineered gives you the additional option of floating. Most vinyls are floating but some can be glued. Learn more at our next webinar and get a free gift.
