It hardly seems possible, but Graham Builders hosted its very first Building Your Home for Life seminar in 1996. Over the past 28 years, hundreds of Oahu homeowners have taken advantage of the construction and renovation information shared at each free session.
“The seminars have been a way to help homeowners make informed decisions about remodeling, renovating or rebuilding,” says Lenore Smith, client-care manager at the award-winning Honolulu design-build firm. “We do our best to ensure that attendees leave our seminars feeling more confident about the design process and about hiring construction professionals.”
As Smith explains, each seminar lasts about two hours, and is followed by a brief question-and-answer session.
“It’s a free seminar and it’s very informal, but it’s packed with information,” she adds. “We provide the seminars as a community service to anyone and everyone, whether you decide to contract with Graham Builders or not.”
Smith estimates that roughly one-third of the attendees actually hire the company.
