Perfect for high-traffic areas as well as bathrooms and kitchens, porcelain tile begins with sand added to clay and fired under high heat and pressure. The resulting material is dense and non-porous, and highly resistant to stains and dents.

Rui offers a huge selection of tile in every size and shade imaginable, including large 32-by-32-inch tiles that are, as Xie says, popular with folks who don’t want to do a lot of groutwork.

“They’re being used for floors and walls, and even from floor to ceiling, as they can create the illusion of a larger space,” he adds.

Demand is also high for Rui’s manufactured quartz countertops. Created through a process that blends ground natural quartz with a bit of polymer resin to bind it, the counter-tops are beautifully marbled and look like natural stone.
