Whether you’re trying to get small home improvement projects out of the way — or large renovation projects underway — Rui Building Supply offers a wide assortment of floors, fixtures, cabinets and more.

Conveniently located on Sand Island Access Road in Honolulu, the showroom provides commercial and residential customers with exceptional building products for both new construction and renovation projects.

“We offer inspiration, value and variety, and we have sales throughout the store,” says showroom manager Jon Xie. “This is a great time to come in and sit down and talk about a project.”

Packed with bargains galore, Rui’s showroom displays showers and vanities; apothecary cabinets; chrome and bronze towel racks, bars and rings; plus sinks and basins in porcelain and glass, available in a variety of styles. There’s a great selection of quartz and granite countertops in more than a dozen shades, and LED light fixtures in both classic and modern styles.

Since the company maintains large stocks of inventory, homeowners can find big quantities of tile in a variety of styles.

“We have more than 4,000 square feet in many selections,” says Xie. “If you want to cover a lot of space, we have large quantities available in plenty of styles.”

There’s no waiting period, either, he adds: “You can pick up your tile and get started right away.”

Local construction professionals know they can count on Rui for terrific deals on tile flooring and cabinets.

“Many of our clients have told us that the materials they want to order from big vendors aren’t available because of supply chain interruptions,” says Xie. “But we have plenty of tile, and gorgeous frameless cabinets in stock as well.”

The building supply company’s sister firm, Rui Construction, continues to fill its schedule with new build and renovation projects. With a solid reputation for quality work, Rui Construction is run by Xiao Rui “Ray” Xie, Jon’s father, who began his career two decades ago in Singapore as a construction worker. After immigrating to the United States, Ray obtained a general contracting license, and eventually expanded his construction business to include the building supply company.

“Our construction company is busy again after a brief slowdown, and we have a wait list for large renovations,” says Jon. “The City & County’s permitting process was slowed by the pandemic, so many homeowners had to put their projects on hold. We’re doing plenty of small renovations for folks who didn’t have time to plan big projects before the pandemic. If you’re working from home, you can be there to monitor progress.”
