Experience The Design/Build Difference
Homeworks Construction’s free one-on-one consultations on designing and building custom homes and accessory dwelling units will continue to be offered in the new year, according to company president Marshall Hickox. Consultations are held in the Homeworks conference room in the Homeworks Building at 2111 S. Beretania St. To make an appointment, call the office at 955-2777. “We generally like to get at least a week or two notice to reserve the conference room and have as much information as possible about the property ready and prepared so we can give the best advice and guidance, as well as provide preliminary estimates,” Hickox said. “Each project has its own unique qualities and challenges, whether a new affordable custom home, a multi-generational home, remodel, or an accessory dwelling unit. All aspects of the project, from permits and planning to final finishes are covered and contractual details are explained. Also, visits to homes we’ve completed or are currently working on can be arranged.”
He added that consultation appointments can also be made at the Homeworks booth at the BIA Home Building & Remodeling Show coming up at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall Jan. 24 through 26. Hickox will conduct seminars at the show — “Should I Build New or Remodel?” — on Saturday and Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Hickox heads up an award-winning design/build firm that has been honored as “Builder of the Year” by the BIA and “One of Hawaii’s Best Construction Companies” in the Star-Advertiser “Hawaii’s Best” awards program, and is a multiple award-winner in the BIA Design and Construction Awards competition. The Homeworks slogan, “All Design and Construction Services Under One Roof,” signifies the company’s “one stop-shop” approach to designing and building, and, as Hickox points out, “Today’s client wants a team working for them … one that can deliver a home built with better products, at a competitive price, and in a reasonable time frame. That’s always what we strive for.” Over two decades, Homeworks has completed more than 1,000 new homes and remodeling projects in neighborhoods throughout Oahu.
In addition to private consultations, Homeworks will continue offering its popular “Build New Or ReDo” free seminars on the first Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. starting in February 2020. Presented in the company showroom on the first floor of the Homeworks Building, the seminars are open to the public but require reservations, which can be made by calling 955-2777. The speakers cover a variety of topics, with a question and answer period following the presentations.
Homeworks projects, from complete new custom homes to remodeling, additions, and kitchens and baths, can be viewed on the website, homeworkshawaii.com.
