A new custom home by Homeworks Construction will soon be underway on a cleared 5,041 square-foot-lot on 22nd Avenue.

In keeping with the company slogan — “All design and construction services under one roof ” — the demolition of the 1960s home was handled by Homeworks president and chief operations officer Sylvio Boucher, who completed the job and had the site cleared and ready for grading within the week, while observing a special request of the owner — preservation of favorite plants and large rocks for use later in landscaping.

Kim Green, Homeworks sales coordinator, said, “We work as a team, and accommodating our clients in every way possible is a priority. In this case the clients are a couple who love this neighborhood, where one of them grew up. So we are creating a new custom home that will blend with and complement the surroundings.

“Our architects, kitchen and bath designer, and finish selections specialist are working closely with them to finalize design details, which will include a number of aging in place and energy efficiency features. From planning and permitting to final finishes, our clients always know whom they will be dealing with in every phase if the project.”

The new 1,500-square-foot, single-story home will include a master bedroom and bath suite and guest bedroom and bath, a main living and dining area, a custom kitchen, 250-square-foot covered lanai that will open onto the new garden, and a 413-square-foot garage.
