Homeworks Construction sales coordinator Kim Green, a certified aging in place specialist and certified green building professional, noted that the home is energy efficient with a photovoltaic system that includes battery backup.

“This home is designed to take maximum advantage of solar and light opportunities,” Green said. “The roof and attic are constructed to allow for natural convection release of heat through the ridge and gable venting. In addition, the home has double-pane, energy-efficient low E windows and is insulated with a tech shield radiant barrier on the roof structure. Limited plumbing under the foundation provides for easy maintenance.”

A follow-up feature in Hawaii Renovation will include photos of the completed exterior and selected interiors. For more information on this and other Homeworks Construction custom home and remodeling projects, call 955-2777.
