There is a new brand of waterproof vinyl wood laminate flooring in Hawaii. It’s called Kamaaina Hale. The newest trend of waterproof flooring has recently been very popular in Hawaii households.

Kamaaina Hale was developed with patterns and colors with local flair in mind. There are six patterns in the line with names like Bleached Ohia, Aged Banyan and Antiqued Eucalyptus, to name a few.

The most important feature about this new line is that it was made to be affordable compared to other brands in the market without sacrificing quality and style. Many of the other brands are priced almost as much as real hardwood.

The price of Kamaaina Hale could be up to 40 percent less, saving homeowners a lot of money in their new home construction or renovation projects.

Besides being waterproof, Kamaaina Hale has a scratch- and stain-resistant surface to make it easy to clean and maintain. It can be used in any room in the home, and it is pet-friendly.

There is foam padding attached to the underside which makes it comfortable to walk on and can reduce sound transmission between floors of the house or condominium. In most cases, it can be installed over the existing flooring in the home, saving the cost of removing the old floor.
