Experienced builder to schedule viewing of homes

Local contractor S. Tanaka Constr uction (STC) specializes in building brand new, custom-built homes on Oahu. The company has more than 30 years of building experience and will be conducting open houses at a few of its recently finished homes for those considering rebuilding and would like to schedule a viewing.

The first home is located in Kaneohe. STC was first contacted by the Forde family two years ago inquiring about building a brand new home on a vacant lot that had been in their family for generations.

Since the Fordes were living in Colorado at the time, all conversations regarding design were done via email and phone. While that process did have its challenges, the trust that was made between the Fordes and STC was established at the start. That was important for both parties as there was going to be no person-to-person meeting prior to the build — they actually never met until five months into the build.

In the end, the Fordes and STC mutually had great things to say about each other and the Fordes are extremely happy with their home as well as the building process.

This Kaneohe house is a 3,200-square-foot single family home with 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The house features an open floor concept with high ceilings in its main living area.

The second and third homes are located in Kaimuki, back to back from each other. They are both 2,500 square feet, single-family dwellings. The first house features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and has a traditional, earthy interior feel. The second home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and features more modern finishings.
