When Danny Graham founded Graham Builders in 1989, he had lofty goals for his family-owned-and-operated design and build firm. Design, build, finance
From kitchen and bath renovations to new-build projects, Graham Builders brings decades of experience and a dedicated staff of builders and architectural designers, who work directly with homeowners through the entire process of designing, building and renovating. “I like the challenge of design and Hawaii’s unique building conditions, like sloping lots, or additions that we have to fit in tight spaces,” said President Evan Fujimoto. “I love the problem-solving aspect of design.”
Graham Builders’ experienced kitchen and bath designers work closely with homeowners to develop innovative, yet functional spaces. Fujimoto and the team specialize in multi-generational design.
Graham Builders became the first National Association of Homebuilders Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists on Oahu more than a decade ago. Truly a one-stop shop, Graham Builders also provides seamless ser vice from building to financing. Graham’s wife, Charlotte, operates Graham Mortgage, which helps homeowners obtain financing.

“Custom design is something that is for every homeowner,” said Danny Graham. “We design homes from a contractor’s viewpoint to ensure it can be beautiful and built on budget.”
Whether homeowners are dealing with a sloped lot, renovating a kitchen or bathroom, or building an addition onto an older, single-wall construction home, Graham Builders’ thorough design process includes the homeowner at every step, ensuring they understand and are an integral part of each and every step of the journey in creating their home.
“We don’t do cookie-cutter homes,” said Fujimoto. “Each job is customized to the homeowners’ unique circumstances, needs, and desires. What sets our homes apart is that we incorporate defining features that create a sense of belonging in the neighborhoods where we build.”
Service, community, family
In addition to quality homes built for longevity, Graham promotes ethics and service within Graham Builders. Winner of the BBB Torch Award for Ethics in 2007, the first builder to receive the coveted distinction, Graham Builders demonstrates a commitment to integrity through its community service. For the past 15 years, Graham Builders has hosted the annual Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation holiday party at the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.
And in 2011, Graham Builders was honored by the State of Hawaii as one of Hawaii’s Outstanding Advocates for Children and Youth.
Graham Builders also gives back to the community through its free, monthly Building Your Home For Life seminars. The seminars provide homeowners with detailed information on selecting a builder, residential design, setting a budget, estimating, financing and scheduling. The topics also include multigenerational homes; universal and aging-in place design, as well as sustainable building.
