In honor of its sixth birthday, the connection of more than 5,500 customers to solar power and a successful evolution into a one-stop shop for energy-efficiency and sustainable lifestyle home products, RevoluSun Smart Home celebrated by cleaning Sandy Beach recently. Hawaii’s premier solar company removed hundreds of pounds of debris from the beach at its Sixth Annual Sandy’s Beach Cleanup in partnership with Surfrider Foundation.

Locally owned and operated, RevoluSun remains the industry leader for cutting-edge technology, top-notch workmanship, knowledge of HECO regulations and the best product warranties in the business.

The company also is preparing for a very busy 2016, because the 30 percent solar federal tax credit expires on Dec. 31, 2016. Only homeowners who complete the installation of their solar systems before the end of 2016 will be eligible for the 30-percent federal credit, so it is extremely important to submit an application for interconnection to HECO as soon as possible. RevoluSun will process net energy metering (NEM) applications without requiring a deposit, so the final decision to move forward with solar may happen after HECO approval (removing the stress and uncertainty of the solar approval process).

The best thing to do while waiting for HECO approval is to stop by RevoluSun’s new Smart Home showroom and headquarters at 210 Ward Ave., in the old Bank of Hawaii building. Beyond rooftop PV, RevoluSun strives to assist Hawaii residents in achieving energy efficiency, with a holistic approach to the home using RevoluSun Smart Home offerings.

“Because we’re committed to being at the forefront of the sustainable home movement, this year we rolled out our Smart Home products,” explained RevoluSun’s chief innovation officer Eric Carlson.

“By integrating PV hot water, whole house fans, natural lighting solutions and other advanced technologies, our approach will reduce a home’s overall energy demand, which in turn will make battery storage more attainable and cost efficient in the very near future.”

Open to the public, contractors and architects, RevoluSun’s Ward Avenue showroom is a dynamic space to learn about smart home solutions like PV hot water, whole house fans, natural lighting solutions such as skylights and sun tunnels, high-efficiency pool pumps, electric car charging stations, home automation, energy management and smart home security. RevoluSun holds regular, free Smart Home seminars on the second Wednesday and third Saturday of every month. Visit to reserve your spot today.
