When a local homeowner and her husband (who prefer to remain anonymous) decided to expand and update their 50-year-old Pearl City home, the couple began an arduous search for the right construction firm to handle the task.

He logically advised that if we need to in the future, we can always add a second level later. But, should we ‘regret’ building a second level, it will not be wise to tear it down.”

As an amateur, I designed my own floor plan and Hua Xia then outsourced an engineer to help determine the proper structure, electrical layout and other aspects that needed to be addressed.
