Bringing your kitchen up to date

You walk into your kitchen and all around you see sagging doors, fraying edges and broken drawers. The layout of the kitchen may be fine but it looks tired, worn-out and possibly trapped in the ’80s (or ’70s or ’60s). Essential Cabinet Refacing (ECR) is ready to come to your rescue. ECR has been working with local families since 1989 to help them bring their kitchens up to date for half the cost of tearing out the whole kitchen.

In as little as seven to eight business days, ECR can update the existing cabinets with new doors and drawers, including new hinges, drawer slides and cabinet handles. You have your choice of flat panel plywood core doors with a laminate finish, or raised panel solid wood doors with a clear or stained finish. You won’t be locked into the color you have now, either. All the outside faces of the cabinets will be covered to match the new doors. Along with the new doors and drawers, the existing cabinets can be modified, too — adding drawers, making space for new appliances, replacing a dishwasher with a new cabinet, etc.

What if the cabinets are just “too far gone” to rescue? New custom cabinets will be built to order for you at the Sand Island cabinet shop. New cabinet boxes are all plywood construction. No particle board is used.

Whether you choose to reface your existing cabinets or put in all new custom cabinets, your existing countertops can be replaced with new HIMACS, Staron, Sile-stone or laminate countertops.
