The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii) is very committed to our mission to “Enhance the Quality of Life for the People of Hawaii.” Our members are dedicated professionals representing developers, general contractors, specialty contractors, suppliers and associates. The “Big Show,” or the 19th annual BIA Home Building & Remodeling Show, will be held next weekend, Jan. 25, 26 and 27 at Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

This January showcase of building industry experts and companies will offer consumers thousands of new products, services, building trends and remodeling techniques. It is also a very unique opportunity to ask questions, gather information and establish connections with the owners and senior managers of Hawaii’s top contractors and suppliers.

The “Big Show” will offer homeowners free consultations and special event seminars to provide additional resources for remodeling and new-home construction projects. Conveniently located under one roof, consumers can come to one centralized location and discover the latest technological advances in building materials, appliances, construction innovations and architectural and interior design.

Special event seminars will include “How to Save Energy Inside and Outside Your Home” presented by Derrick T. Sonoda of Hawaii Energy and Eric Carlson of RevoluSun, and “The Latest Trends to Create Your Dream Kitchens and Bathrooms” presented by Marshall Hickox of Homeworks Construction Inc. and Randall Omoto of Homeowners Design Center on Jan. 26. “What is Safe Senior Living and How to Make Your House into an Ohana Home for All” will be presented by Curt Kiriu of CK Independent Living Builders and Dexter Suzuki of EOM Hawaii Jan. 27. We look forward to seeing you at the “Big Show” and for additional information, visit
