The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is the “gold standard” for PV and solar thermal installation certification. To apply for NABCEP certification, applicants must first meet certain qualifications in order to sit for the test. Then they undergo a rigorous exam and attend regular continuing-education classes to maintain certification.
