For two years now, Rui Building Supply has served a wide range of clients at both the retail and professional levels after the company branched out from previously established Rui Construction Inc., which initially specialized in commercial projects.

With its retail showroom located at 155 Sand Island Access Road, homeowners looking to make improvements now have access to Rui’s stellar product lines and excellent customer service.

“We’re just entering our second year in business, and we work with both retail customers as well as contractors,” said sales manager Raymond Yee. “Basically, we sell anything you would need for kitchen and bathroom renovations. We carry a wide variety of products from kitchen cabinets to faucets and sinks, countertops, flooring and other small accessories.”

Yee explained that Rui Building Supply is known for its quality cabinetry and has three different styles paired with various color options to match any kitchen.

“It’s very reasonably priced for the quality you get,” he said. “We offer Shaker, flat-panel and our newest model, the raised-panel cabinets. Colors range from maple to light and dark cherry.”

The cabinetry comes with hardware, including handles, soft-closing hinges as well as soft-closing drawers.

For a limited time only, the company is offering Shaker-style cabinetry for 35 percent off the original price, while light and dark cherry colored Shaker cabinetry is marked down 45 percent. Flat-panel cabinetry, available in both light cherry and maple, is also discounted to 45 percent off throughout the promotion.

“Customers really like the quality of our cabinets, how they look as well as the price,” Yee said. “Compared to most other places, their cabinetry doesn’t look like ours. When they compare our wood finish, thickness of the doors and the hardware to that of our competitors, it’s not even close.”

Yee also stresses the importance of working within one’s budget. “Price is important, but also, what you’re getting for the price in terms of quality in the cabinets … The difficult part of any renovation is the matching of colors. It depends on what you’re buying the cabinets for. If it’s for a homeowner or condominium, we try to remind them that they need to be satisfied with the color because it will be there for a long time.”
