Tips to feel your best indoors
Arunny nose, watery eyes, itchy throat, nagging cough —
as the weather changes throughout the year, differ- ent allergens can increase, making you miserable in numerous ways. Medications can help, but there are all- natural steps you can take to help you feel your best, whether indoors or outside.
• Check online for pollen counts in your area. A good place to start is the Na-
tional Allergy Bureau from the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Im- munology at pollen.aaaai. org. Pollen counts can vary depending on weather and season, so this can help you know ahead of time how se- vere your allergies may be if spending time outside.
• Consider planning out- door activities in the early morning when daily counts are often at their lowest. Keep in mind, windy days
spread pollen around and it may be more difficult to spend time outdoors if you have allergies. Rain removes pollen from the air, so after a shower is a good time to head outdoors as pollen counts are typically lower.
