DO YOU WALK ON THE PANELS?
All systems can be cleaned without walking on the solar panels. Walk- ing on the panels can cause a crack the glass or cause microfractures, which can reduce your system pro- ductivity.
WHAT TYPE OF BRUSH WOULD YOU USE?
Anyone cleaning solar panels should have the proper equipment. They should be using a specially designed solar panel water- fed brush with the right bris- tles, or a rotary solar panel cleaning brush. Brushes that are too soft (car wash brush) or aggressive (deck brush) will either not clean the panels properly or dam- age the panels.
A proper cleaning takes more than a Home Depot brush.
WHAT TYPE OF WATER DO YOU USE?
Just using regular tap water will leave hard-water spots on your panels. All of the minerals build-up can decrease the efficacy of your panels. It’s recom- mended to use deionized water or better.
