Builder stresses safety, continues with projects
While observing COVID-19 pre- cautions and
protocols both in the office and in the field, Homeworks Construction has seen little impact on scheduling as it moves ahead with home- building and remodeling projects.
“Over the past few months, we have wrapped up several projects and our starts are proceeding as scheduled,” said Homeworks president and chief administrative of- ficer Marshall Hickox. “At all times, we’ve been mindful of the health and safety of our office staff, workers in the field and our clients, who have demonstrated their trust in us, which is gratify- ing. are doing everything in our power to protect them and their families. We also keep in touch with our suppliers to make sure they are on the same page when it comes to workplace safety. On the supply side, so far, we have not encountered slowdowns in delivery of materials. There has been a slight delay in getting bids back, but this is attributed to more people working from home, accord- ing to the suppliers. With re- gard to permitting, we have actually seen permit times decrease despite DPP re- porting the same amount of
