According to Shibuya, the most popular shut- ter is the company’s Poly- core Shutter. “Our manu- facturer has successfully mastered the fine ar t of co-extrusion, combining PVC and an aluminum
core. All of our rails, stiles and louvers are reinforced with an aluminum core. In the fabrication process, we screw the rail and stile together with two 3/16-
inch by 3-inch self-tapping screws in each corner of the panels.
“These corners pre- vent the panels from racking, thus creating
the strongest panels in the industr y today. The aluminum-reinforced lou- vers prevent sagging in wider panels, where Poly- core can reach 36 inches
