The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii) will present the 55th Annual BIA Parade of Homes during the Open House weekends of Oct. 8-9 and 15-16. This premier statewide showcase of new homes in Hawaii will educate consumers on the latest trends, technology and design innovations in residential construction. The early bird entries will be eligible for advance media exposure, but must submit their entry forms and payment by May 16. The 2011 BIA Parade of Homes theme is “Sustainable Lifestyle … Sustainable Homes,” and the final deadline for all entries is July 18.
Developers and contractors may enter single-family and multi-family homes, town homes, high rises, builder spec homes, units in vacation ownership projects and conversions. The 2011 Parade also will include the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Green Building Standards for residential construction. The 55th Annual BIA Parade of Homes Awards Gala, to announce the award winning entrants and the 2011 Grand Champion, will be held Oct. 4 at Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
