When it comes to plumbing fixtures, kitchen appliances or lighting, Ferguson Bath, Kitchen and Lighting is your one-stop shop. Ferguson Hawaii has, with the acquisition of The Plumbing Source, six showrooms and eight branch locations statewide. With more than 250,000 square feet of warehousing, Ferguson Hawaii is able to tackle jobs of any size.

“Ferguson is the largest plumbing house in the nation — wholesale and retail,” explained branch manager of the Oahu showroom, Clayton Gomi. “We carry more lines than anybody else, and because we’re the largest company, we can get any plumbing product. Our appliance business is our second-largest category, next to plumbing. Customers like to come to us because we can provide [them] with a whole array or products, from entry level to the very top.”

Ferguson has a vast lineup of plumbing fixtures like American Standard, TOTO, Grohe and Mirabelle (Ferguson’s own brand of plumbing) and many others. The appliance line-up includes all the major brands from Whirlpool to Bosch to Thermador. The lighting selections are as large as any one in the state and includes Ferguson’s own brand, Park Harbor. But as many selections as Ferguson has to offer, the primary emphasis is on customer service.

“Our mission statement is ‘Nobody expects more from us than we do,'” Gomi stated.

Gomi explained that many of Ferguson’s clients are referrals from past customers, general contractors, designers and architects. He also said that the company employs a number of knowledgeable sales consultants to walk any customer through the selection process from beginning to end.

“All remodeling decisions are based on three main factors — aesthetics, cost and function,” he said. “Our sales consultants are here to guide customers in a direction where their purchase is aesthetically pleasing to them, it fits their budget and it provides the function they need.”

Customers can always visit the Ferguson showroom for ideas or visit its website at ferguson.com to see more of what the company has to offer.

“It’s a 10,000 square feet showroom filled with plumbing, lighting and appliances,” he said. “Our consultants often ask customers a lot of questions, but it’s the right questions. We want to make sure what they’re getting, fits their needs, first and foremost, then we talk about aesthetics and the cost. Our job is to make sure our customers get what they need and what they paid for.”

“We definitely place value on that — the services we provide, as well as the quality of goods we provide,” Gomi summarized.
