The end of October not only marks the unofficial start of the holiday season, but also the availability of a new quartz selection at Oriental Cabinet and Granite LLC. The company already features old quartz and granite, but introducing natural quartzes to customers introduces a myriad of color combinations and remodel possibilities, according to manager Aaron Bolen.
“These natural quartzes have vibrant swirls and designs,” explained Bolen. “It’s different from old quartz, which is more simple and basic. Natural quartz allows for a different sort of look.”
Bolen shared that customers tend to like granite because of its designs and swirls, but this softer material isn’t as durable as old quartz. Natural quartz provides the best of both worlds.
“The downfall to quartz is that it’s too simple for some people,” he said. “Granite is full of character, but it requires more maintenance. Yearly, you need to put sealant and polish to add protection and shine. Because of the soft, porous material, the wear and tear tends to show more than quartz. With the new, natural quartz, you have durability, but with nice designs.”
While Oriental Cabinet and Granite is known for its kitchen and bathroom remodels, Bolen said customers should know the company can take on bigger projects that aren’t limited to new cabinet installation.
“We can do flooring, tiling, renovation of bathrooms, pretty much a full home remodel, if need be,” he stated. “Our services include tiling for your bathroom, flooring for the house — kitchen flooring, dining room flooring and flooring for the bathroom.”
Customers who want to update their kitchen cabinets often find other accessories that need to be revamped as well to create that cohesive look they desire.
“Recessed lighting is a really popular feature that people are doing now,” said Bolen. “When we go into homes, a lot of people will ask us to update their lighting, floors and paint at the same time as we’re updating their cabinets.”
In terms of bathroom renovations, the popularity of walk-in showers has increased tremendously, according to Bolen. Many times, Oriental Cabinet and Granite converges a typical bathtub or shower setup to a modern, walk-in shower, complete with a bench.
“We’re expanding our services to fit the customer’s needs,” added Bolen. “If you have concerns about pricing, we’ll match any competitor’s pricing, assuming they have the part in stock. We also provide free estimates to our customers.”
