The new panels feature half-cut, four bus bar, monocrystalline cells for ultimate efficiency. Half-cut technology reduces the area of each cell and connects them in a parallel formation, so that the amount of electrical current carried by each bus bar is reduced by half. This results in a decrease in electrical resistance within the bus bars and an increase in overall efficiency. With Mitsubishi’s industry-leading innovation of integrating four bus bars into each cell, internal electrical resistance is further reduced, boosting cell output.

Mitsubishi panels are engineered to withstand tough outdoor conditions, including salt-spray corrosion. Additionally, while standard wind-load rating for PV panels is 50 pounds per square foot (ppsf), Mitsubishi panels are rated to withstand 112 ppsf and winds up to 130 miles per hour, providing greater peace of mind as the state prepares to weather more storms than ever before. Mitsubishi also is one of the only Japanese manufacturers to produce 100-percent, made-in-Japan modules.
