Whether it’s Bonterra Solar’s award-winning reputation, its uncompromising commitment to customers, or the great emphasis it places on quality, Bonterra is the people’s choice for solar power. Listed here are just a few things that make Bonterra so special.
A local business steeped in success
Bonterra recently made headlines around the country when it was ranked as one of the top 250 solar companies in the nation. It was recently chosen as a finalist in Pacific Business News’ BLH awards, has an unblemished record with the Better Business Bureau and was voted as one of Hawaii’s “Fastest 50” growing companies. And unlike many of its competitors, Bonterra Solar is a local company through and through. Founded and staffed by your neighbors, Bonterra has set itself apart from its peers by upholding the highest standards in the industry and delivering quality installations time and again.
Experience you can trust
Whether it’s an installation on your home or business, the Bonterra team is steeped in experience. With its reputation for quality installations and superior customer service fueling the company forward, Bonterra has become the chosen solar installer for all new-home developments in Hawaii with Gentry Homes. Bon-terra has also worked in partnership with the Department of Hawaiian Homelands to create the first net-zero energy community in the nation at Kaupuni Village and has become the chosen partner for SunRun, the country’s premiere solar installer.
Warranties it stands behind
Because Bonterra utilizes some of the highest-quality equipment available, all of the company’s installations are backed with some of the most comprehensive warranties in Hawaii. You can rest easy knowing that Bonterra stands by its work with a 10-year craftsmanship warranty and 20-year warranty on all panels and inverters.

The Good Deed program
Bonterra prides itself on being more than just a solar company. It understands just how important it is to work within the community. That’s why Bonterra created its Good Deed campaign. Every month, Bonterra Solar employees volunteer services to local nonprofits and organizations devoted to doing great things. In the past, it has worked with Habitat for Humanity, Kalani High School’s Robotics Club, Honolulu Zoo and Hawaiian Humane Society. It’s Bonterra’s way of giving back and saying mahalo to the people and organizations that they serve.
A bright holiday
With Christmas only a few days away, Bonterra is looking to extend a warm mahalo to Hawaii homeowners for their support of solar. Hawaii has made great strides to become energy independent and Bon-terra Solar is excited to be lighting the path ahead to a brighter 2014.
