For those who enjoy a beautiful garden but don’t have the time or energy to spend hours maintaining it, rock gardens are ideal. They also require minimal water, which preserves our environment. Geobunga will host a free Island Style Rock Garden Workshop this Saturday that will focus on decorative gardens. Learn about the various styles of rock gardens, design tips, and how to create a rock garden that’s big on aesthetics and functionality, but doesn’t require a lot of attention.

Geobunga welcomes the public to learn how to design the perfect rock garden on Saturday, July 20 at a free public seminar at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at its Salt Lake location (4299 Lawehana St., across from Target). Although seminars are free, space is limited and reservations are recommended at www.geobunga.com.

“River rock is the perfect solution for many garden problems,” said Andrew Dedrick, owner and executive director of Geobunga. “It can fill in a bare patch while at the same time adding color, or retain moisture in a dry area while also doing double duty as an accent element.”
