It’s not even Halloween yet, but savvy chefs are already making plans for their Thanksgiving feasts. And with the holidays just around the corner, families can expect to be spending more time in the kitchen, whether they are cooking, helping out or just sneaking in for a casual snack of leftovers. For some, the kitchen becomes almost a second living room during this time of year.

That’s why many homeowners are treating themselves to an early Christmas present with a newly remodeled kitchen.

A custom-built or remodeled kitchen can make even big cooking projects a pleasure by adding both comfort and functionality. Many new products make preparing a meal quicker and easier.

“New advancements are always being pursued by the appliance companies to make meal preparations easier and faster,” said Alex Butchart of Highline Kitchen Systems. For example, steam convection ovens combine the speed and baking capabilities of convection cooking, while introducing steam to keep food moist, nutritious and flavorful. “We have a working Wolf Convection Steam Oven in our showroom to demonstrate the advantages of this cooking technique. We invite the consumers to stop in for a hands-on look at this fantastic oven and to discover the advantages of using Wolf and Subzero products when visiting our showroom.”

As an added incentive, Subzero and Wolf have a “Dream Kitchen” homeowners rebate of $1,000-$2,500 directly off qualifying purchases through March 2013.

Another way to bring new life to an old kitchen is through better cabinets. “Through our Pacific Design cabinets, we offer some unique choices in imported woods and door styles,” said Butchart. “Spice up the look of your kitchen or bath with quarter-sawn wood cuts or eye-catching movement in some of the burls or quilted grains available. Our DeWils Industries cabinets host many door styles in seven different wood species with multiple stains or glaze options at a very affordable price.”

Alex Butchart is a certified kitchen designer with nearly two decades experience in designing kitchens. Highline Kitchen Systems has become an award-winning firm renowned for using the latest high-quality products and eye-catching designs. Highline’s showroom features products from Subzero, Wolf and Bosch as well as Pacific Design and DeWils Industries. Summing up his company’s approach, Butchart said, “Our goals are to provide attractive, innovative and functional kitchens that become comfortable gathering spaces for our island living, and baths that enhance the home.”
