Asphalt maintenance with acrylic crack fillers and CrackMaster Supreme
Once moisture penetrates the asphalt, it will deteriorate the underlying layers, eventually causing failure. One of the major ways moisture penetrates asphalt is through cracking. These cracks allow water into the pavement which slowly breaks it down, eventually forming a pothole. SealMaster Hawaii provides cold and hot pour crack sealants, such as CrackMaster Supreme, that will stop moisture. It also provides all the necessary tools and equipment to get the job done.
Asphalt repair
If cracks are not repaired soon enough, a pothole could form. SealMaster Hawaii has a high performance pothole patch, PatchMaster, which can repair those problems. This product can be used in any weather and is easy to use: just pour and tamp.
Equipment
SealMaster Hawaii is the only local manufacturing facility with oil that meets state specifications. SS-1H (tack coat) is an anionic asphalt emulsion designed for use as a tack coat for patching, paving and coating processes. SS-1H is available in 5-gallon pails or in any bulk quantity. Tack coat acts like glue and binds the hot asphalt to the current surface. It is sprayed in the patch area and around the edges.
CQS-1H is a cationic asphalt emulsion designed for use in slurry seals. The City and County of Honolulu used this oil last year to slurry seal, which was done around the island. Maui County also has finished a number of slurry projects.
Sealcoat
Sealcoating protects against oxidation. Unsealed pavement allows water to penetrate into and through the pavement structure leading to base erosion and ultimately pavement failure. Sealcoating provides a protective barrier to stop water penetration. Also, if left unsealed, oil and gasoline will soften and deteriorate the exposed asphalt binder. Sealcoating provides a protective barrier that resists attack from oil and gasoline. SealMaster Hawaii provides two main sealcoat products: SealMaster Ready-To-Use and OptiPave Plus. These products are made at the company’s shop in Mapunapuna with local materials. It was designed to be made with Hawaii products for Hawaii asphalt.
Traffic paint SealMaster traffic paints are high performance, highly durable Waterborne traffic marking material. Uniquely patented cross-linking technology provides durability normally associated with hot-melt thermoplastics and epoxy.
SportMaster
SportMaster tennis court surfaces are technically advanced, 100 percent acrylic resins to ensure long-term protection from all the elements and supreme resistance to the sun’s damaging ultraviolet degradation. Tennis court resurfacing is a unique trade, and sports surfaces are not available in common hardware stores. SportMaster sports surfaces are available at SealMaster Hawaii. Not only does it stock sports surfaces and repair products, but also many of the common tools used for mixing and applying tennis court resurfacing products. The City and County of Honolulu has used Sport-Master in fixing more than 70 tennis courts last year. Sports surfaces for basketball, roller hockey, track and field and other sports also are available.
