Solar Energy Experts Triple in Size, Service
Alternate Energy founder Bruce Ekimura made a New Year’s resolution: to get bigger!
That’s right, Bruce and his team at Alternate Energy, some of the most seasoned pros in the solar energy business, started off the new year three times larger than the company was in 2011.
To accommodate the huge demand for their state-of-the-art PV modules, solar water heaters and expert installation and service, Alternate Energy has moved to a brand new, almost 10,000-square-foot warehouse.
They’ve also added project managers and hired more full-time, directly employed (not contracted) installers. The shiny fleet of green and white Alternate Energy trucks are carefully stocked for the day’s jobs each morning from the big new loading bay, which can accommodate three times the inventory as before, greatly reducing product wait time.
The warehouse also boasts a designated training facility, continually educating technicians to maintain Alternate Energy’s high standards for quality installation.
The new headquarters are located in the heart of central Oahu, in the Pearl City Industrial Park. Alternate Energy has purchased the space — an investment that demonstrates Bruce’s deep, long-term commitment to serving the community. He’s been in the solar energy business since the 1970s, and he and his team are here to serve Hawaii well into the future.
They’re also walking the talk. One of the first orders of business is to install a gleaming array of their best-selling Mitsubishi modules on their very own roof. Not only will it show customers how solidly they stand behind their own product and service, but it will save substantially on Alternate Energy’s own energy bill. “That’s a savings we’ll be able to pass directly on to our customers,” said Ekimura.
