Financing programs of all types

Hawaii will need 66,000 additional housing units by 2025 to meet our growing population’s needs, according to a March 2015 study by the state of Hawaii. However, not enough homes are being built, and home prices are projected to continue to increase in the near future. Hence, now might be the time to buy or build a home before prices increase even more.

CU Network Ser vices (NMLS# 375459) can help you with your home-loan needs through the following loan products:

First-time homebuyer loan program

To be eligible as a first-time homebuyer, the borrower must not have owned real estate in the three previous years of the subject property purchase date. Membership at Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union (FCU) is required. The borrower must complete Hawaii Home Ownership Center’s course titled “First-Time Homebuyer Program.” It is for owner-occupied condominiums or single-family homes located in the state of Hawaii. Maximum loan amount is $500,000. Other restrictions and qualifications apply. The program terms include:

Low down payment
Down payment can be gifted or borrowed
No mortgage insurance required
Low closing costs
Exclusively for Hawaii Central FCU members

Conforming fixed rate loans

First and second mortgages
Range of finance terms
Maximum amount is $625,500

VA fixed loans

VA fixed loans, a government guaranteed loan, are available to eligible veterans who are backed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. VA guaranteed loans are made by private lenders, such as banks or mortgage companies, for the purchase of a home for a buyer’s own personal occupancy. These loans offer competitive rates and require little or no down payment as well as no monthly mortgage insurance.

Vacant land loans and construction loans

Purchasing land
Building your dream home

Loan and home equity lines of credit (HELOC)

This category is for homeowners looking to build an extension/addition to their homes to accommodate their growing families. What’s more, loan amounts of $250,000 or lower do not require an appraisal.

When Neille O. needed a home equity loan, her credit union referred her to CU Network Services: “I was introduced to (loan officer) Pat Chong, and he handled everything from there. He was professional and efficient and informed me of the whole process. It was quick and easy … the turnaround time was fast. I would recommend CU Network Services to anyone looking for a home equity loan.”

Jacquelyn D. and her husband were “thrilled” with the service and rate they got from CU Network Services.

“From start to finish, they took care of all our needs. There were no issues or surprises,” shared the couple. “Miles and June (of CU Network Services) really took care of us, and we closed immediately. If you’re looking for a service that’ll understand your needs and treat you like family, then this is the place! I look forward to working with them again … as they now have more lifelong clients and friends!”
