Rebuild adds space for present, future needs
Kaimuki has become one of Honolulu’s most sought after neighborhoods, primarily predicated on its convenience and diversity of home styles. Options for shopping and dining are numerous. “The owner liked the neighborhood and opted to replace the old family home with a brand, new custom home built to their specifications on the site. Where they previously had a living area of only 1,200 square feet, they now have 1,500 square feet under roof, plus a 716-square-foot garage built to accommodate an upstairs unit at a later date.
“On the first floor are a great room that includes a main living and dining area open to the kitchen, plus two bedrooms and two baths. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, a bath, and a wet bar, which will serve to accommodate visiting family members. Between the garage and the house is a 6-by-20-square-foot laundry and workshop, which can be accessed from the house, the garage, and the yard. The new home is very practical and functional and perfectly suits the lifestyle and future needs of the family.”
