This week Surface Shield is excited to introduce a new member to the Gaco Western roof coating family — the Gaco Flex S2100.

Improved cleanliness. S2100 showed 40 percent less dir t accumulation, two times the whiteness retention and maintained a higher solar reflectance and thermal emittance than competitive silicone coatings.

Whiteness retention. GacoFlex S2100 develops water-sheeting action that allows roofs to dry more quickly, thus reducing dust and dirt interactions with the coating to keep the roof looking whiter, for longer.

Five-Year Brightness Warranty.

The company’s Five-Year Brightness Warranty guarantees that when properly applied, S2100 will maintain its brightness and color uniformity for a period of five years — even over asphalt roofs. It also comes with up to a 50-year limited material warranty.

LEED points contribution. GacoFlex S2100 contains 37 percent recycled content and does not contain crystalline silica. Municipalities and companies encourage the use of products that reduce the amount of impact on our environment and S2100 has the highest recycled content in the industry. In addition, the use of S2100 on a job may contribute to LEED points.

One-hundred percent silicone. A single component elastomeric coating ideal for renewing your weathered and leaking roof.

High solids. GacoFlex solvent-free silicone coatings are made almost entirely of solids. Ninety-five percent of what is in the can stays on the roof.

Excellent film build. Improved rheology provides better film build on high spots and over granulated or uneven surfaces.

Adheres to a variety of substrates.

GacoFlex S2100 is ideal for use as a maintenance coating system over pre-existing elastomeric roof coatings, metal roofs, built-up roofing, mineral cap sheet and weathered single-ply membranes (EPDM, Hypalon and TPO/CPA), sprayed polyurethane foam roofing systems and many other coatings.

Withstands permanent ponding water. This innovative coating is an excellent choice for flat roofs. Extremely durable, Gaco-Flex S2100 will not soften, bubble or degrade under permanent pounding water.
