Replacing your bathtub

By Hawaii Renovation Posted in: BathInterior

HR-110815-HawaiiGlassBlockHawaii Glass Block will be hosting a free workshop to show you how to remove your old bathtub or shower, replace it with the wedi® 100 percent Waterproof Shower System, and add a glass block wall so you can eliminate a shower door or shower curtain.

The free workshop will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at the Hawaii Glass Block showroom and warehouse located at 284 Kalihi St.

The wedi® Fundo Total Shower Solution is the industry’s innovative application for constructing waterproof tiled showers. With its un-complicated assembly process and ability to be tiled on the same day, the system installs quickly and efficiently, reducing substrate preparedness from days to hours.

The wedi® system is in stock at Hawaii Glass Block — the Fundo bases can easily be cut to size or extended using pre-sloped extension panels to fit any custom shower application. Additionally, with being up to 80 percent lighter than conventional shower methods, the wedi® system can be installed without threatening a building’s structural properties. The wedi® extruded polysty-rene products are used to support ENERGY STAR-qualifying construction.

Topics that will be covered:

• Why should I use the wedi® system?
• Can I install the wedi® system?
• Is glass block difficult to install?

Who should attend:

• Homeowners considering a bathroom remodel
• Do-it-Yourselfers
• Handymen
• Contractors

Hawaii Glass Block will show you how easy it is to build a glass block panel using its “stack and grout” method or how the company can prefab a wall for you to easily install. A glass block panel allows natural daylight into your home for a positive energy flow.

The seminar is free. Reserve your seat by sending an e-mail to becky@hawaiiglassblock. com or call 841-2565. Seating is limited to 20 participants.

Hawaii Glass Block is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The company’s knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you with your design — all estimates are free and Hawaii Glass Block ships to all islands.
