The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii) will present the 55th annual BIA Parade of Homes during the open house weekends this month. The 2011 theme, “Sustainable Lifestyle … Sustainable Homes” will showcase new homes statewide and educate consumers on the latest trends, technology and design innovations in residential construction.

The free open house events are scheduled for Oct. 8-9 and 15-16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Developers and their projects that you can explore in the October open house weekends include Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii Inc. for “Kealakai at Kapolei Unit #2”; D.R. Horton-Schuler Homes LLC for “La Hiki at Mehana Plan #3”, “Makalae at Sea Country Pawa” and “Pulewa at Mehana Plan B”; Gentry Homes Ltd. for “Haiku at Haleakea by Gentry”, “Trades by Gentry Aheahe” and “Trades by Gentry ‘Olu’olu”; Hale Ka Lae LLC for “Hale Ka Lae”; Kisco Senior Living for “Ilima at Leihano”; St. Francis Development Corp. for “Franciscan Vistas Ewa”; and Towne Development of Hawaii Inc. for “Milo Court Haku Plan at Kehalani” in Wailuku on Maui.
