The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii) will present the seventh annual Remodel It Right/Remodel It Green Expo Aug. 26-28 at the Hawaii Convention Center.

More than 180 exhibitor booths will showcase Hawaii’s top contractors, suppliers, building industry experts and associates.

These exhibitors will combine under one roof to create more than 20,000 square feet of remodeling industry expertise. The event theme, “Remodel It Right, Remodel It Green,” will enlighten and educate homeowners on the latest products, services and trends in energy savings and sustainable living.

A very unique feature of this award-winning expo is the “Meet the Experts” presentations that provide ongoing roundtable interactive discussions from the entire spectrum of the remodeling industry. “Update Your Home with the latest Green Ideas from the New Hawaiian Home” will be conducted at 7 p.m.

Aug. 26; “Bathroom & Kitchen Design and Remodeling Basics” will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27, and “How to Get Money Back on your Green Remodeling Projects with Rebates, Tax Credits and Lower Utility Bills” will be conducted at 1 p.m. Aug. 28.

The “Remodel It Right” panel of experts will offer in-depth roundtable discussions of key topics that will provide a strong foundation for your remodeling project at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 27, and repeated a third time at 11 a.m. the following day. Architecture, General Contracting, Contractor Licensing, Permitting (10 Savvy Permitting Tips for Your Remodel), Prioritizing Your Remodeling and Energy Savings and Credits are all offered in 10-minute rotating sessions, and a free Remodeling Planning Kit will be offered to every family attending the three panel sessions, while supplies last.

The 2011 BIA Remodel It Right/Remodel It Green Expo will offer the latest in Green remodeling trends, technology and ideas for every home.
